Family History

Eoin Moriarty, a native of Waterville who emigrated to America and has since returned home, opened the Boutique Sea Lodge Hotel Waterville in June 2015.

Eoin has very happy childhood memories of summers working in the hotel formerly known as the The Strand Hotel, once owned by his late aunt, Mary Carmel and uncle, the Legendary GAA footballer & Kerry Manager, Mick O’Dwyer.  When the site came up for sale a number of years back, Eoin took this as an opportunity to get back in to the business and it has been an exciting project ever since.  Bringing it back to life in a new contemporary style, Sea Lodge Waterville offers a refreshingly modern alternative for visitors to the area, and is designed with local community needs in mind as this is what is truly at the heart of this family run hotel.
